Fab 'Paint & Sip' evening in District Café last night run by the Nine Elms Church Music and Arts Team... a great vibe, lots of fun (and very good art) and best of all, local people living in Nine Elms gathered for Art And A Bit Of Community 😊 ... to come along text 07490 104673
The HT and governors of St George's C of E Primary Nine Elms after the Ofsted interview. It's the most talented team of volunteers and staff I have worked in - everyone comes well prepared and ready to be engaged, which means committed when no one is looking #cofe@nineelmschurch
FAB south Indian curry prepared by Anand and Jesse and shared with fellow clergy from Battersea, gathering to say farewell to Anand and Jesse after 17 years of faithful service in Battersea Fields.

Here's one for the rain!! A Verse of the Day after a short lived burst of sunshine 🌞😒
Psalm 135 v 7 "He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain"
So take an umbrella ☂️ #psalms#art#verseoftheday#vicarofnineelms#nineelmschurch
Two of the staff team contemplating the startling Crucifixion by Souza in Tate Britain. 15 minutes to look and think: what story is it telling? What issue does it speak to? What prayer should be said? Highly recommended for Holy Week

A Remind and Refresh from Sunday - sometimes getting the blessing we want means doing something hard, whatever the cost, for however long it takes. Jesus literally carried scars from securing the blessing of eternal life ... #blessing#nineelmschurch#vicarofnineelms
Remind & Refresh from Sunday
Lamentations says that God's mercies are new every morning where the word NEW isn't THE SAME AGAIN but NEW AND DIFFERENT. Every day God's blessings are BESPOKE for you and me. Creative. Unique.
Be blessed!!

A very energetic book club last night inspired by Cicero - "The art of life is to deal with problems as they arise rather than destroy ones spirit by worrying about them too far in advance". Or as Jesus put it, each day has enough trouble of its own #imperium#life#worry
Sometimes a tradition is needed to make space for the people we value and today is one of ours - First Sunday Family Lunch - first Sunday of every month, any family who can make it. Love it when they come. Peaceful when they go! 👩👩👦👦👨👨👧👦👩👧👦 🙂
Groundhog Day, Candlemas, and the last day of a 14 day fast - challenged to make my own pizza with no wheat - sugar - dairy - meat - dressings - caffeine or alcohol ... but the friends had fun!
One month on - 6th November we said goodbye to Theo Porteous, a victim of violence. The memorial on Thessaly Road still gets fresh flowers four months after he died, reminding us that what happens in our communities matters to us

This moment was caught between sharing worship with the Tamil Church and the Filipino Chaplaincy, and a Local Church Council meeting with friends at All Saints Battersea Fields - an opportunity to reaffirm our friendship and pray for the people of Jamaica. With flag!
Almost at the end of Lent and yes, the daily post has been a challenge...
That's what it's meant to be I guess ... yesterday's Insta post @nineelmschurch
For the last six years, almost every Tuesday morning, someone has walked around Nine Elms and prayed for the wellbeing of the people, the place, for community and connection. Unseen. But heard.
Join us?

We had a jolly trip on Friday to William Temple church in Thamesmead to support Revd Ruth Turner being licensed as Team Vicar after 3 years in Battersea and Nine Elms … we know Thamesmead will be blessed!!
