@RobinBrooksIIF i am not sure that high inflation messed up the story. high inflation ought to be countered by higher taxes like during WW II. doesn't look to me that we are trying that yet. putting all the onus on the Fed is what might turn out to be a mistake

@scottjshapiro and his reasoning doesn't apply only to abortion but uses the history of legislation found around the time of the 14th amendment. if he were principled he would admit that it aplies as well to gay marriage, the use of contraception, etc.

@MacroAlf i would say long CNH, short USD - that is a different trade and risk reward than long Chinese stocks, short US equities. in the currency we have now seen an appreciating CNH for almost 2 years and it ties in with the long term goals of the Chinese leadership
