@OKWildlifeDept Please also be careful going in after a drowning victim- especially if you aren’t a trained rescuer. That’s how my mom died. The Red Cross recommends “reach, throw, but don’t go”. Use a branch to help the victim, throw them a floatie- but don’t go in after them
@hankgreen The idea that no matter how much we study plane crashes or catastrophes we’ll never be able to stop the next one because there are too many variables. Read about it in Deep Survival by Lawrence Gonzales and it’s been on my mind
@SpaceCityWX Am I going to have words with a favorite weather site bc of green bean casserole??? Green bean casserole is my favorite food- tho to be fair my family has their own recipe. But it’s SO GOOD
I’ve been loving #TheBigBrunch on @hbomax and 1 thing that I 💜 is seeing the judges get served their dishes and hearing them say “thank you.” Not sure why it makes me so happy. Guess it’s nice to see the “big shots” on a show demonstrate kindness to the crew making it happen
@McElroyFamily@travismcelroy You should do a “bake on” for The Big Brunch on HBO. It’s so happy and sweet. Only three eps in so far but gives me early Bake Off vibes but w/o creepy Paul Hollywood
@KPRC2 It’s a harmless carpet python. Someone’s escaped pet that won’t survive the cold front. Only a threat to rats or small birds, and probably just wants to find a warm hidey hole.
@OKWildlifeDept I have a pet hognose. He weighs less than 100 g and acts like he’s going to attack every time I clean his enclosure or refill he water. He is darkness, he is danger.
@kelseydarragh I had a similar issue when my dad died. All I could think of him at first was how he looked as he was dying. Took months of talking about happy memories to remember his life rather than his death. Our brains are wired to deal with PROBLEMS. So it’s natural to go there first
@kelseydarragh Normal. Big, hard events take over your brain. My best coping method is to talk out loud about good memories, redirect. It’s like trying to train your brain to remember good things instead of the awful ones that are there first. Takes a while, but it can work
@hankgreen Well I adore @SnakeDiscovery . Not dogs or cats but beloved pet family members all the same. Cheyenne the mccaw, Rex the alligator, Chloe the snapping turtle, Brad and Janet the bull snakes… tons of fun
Honestly don’t know what to do about this @comcast@Xfinity A comcast line is down on our street. None of us are current customers so we can’t get thru on customer support. How can we get this removed?
@lolacoaster New homeowner, freaking out cuz a wasp got inside. Chased the wasp w/ raid, dog chased me. It looked like a British stage farce. Got the wasp, but realized the dog was squinting. Wasp spray in the eye- to the EVet. She was fine- vet laughed at us. Lesson learned about wasp spray
@ZEEfromTV @MasonIsBloo @travismcelroy It’s a garter snake. They live quite happily in yards and flower beds- very near people. They are absolutely harmless and snack on garden pests.
Call me crazy, but I feel like @amazon should take the name and address label from another customer’s return off before sending it to a new customer 😬 @AmazonHelp
100%. I ask this all the time and worry people think I’m saying they don’t look capable of understand. Really I worry I’m not capable of communicating.
