and. depiction does not necessitate endorsement. there’s NO reason to assume that an illustration of armand in ropes - deliberately evoking a piece of his canonical history, moreover - is an indication of the artist’s beliefs regarding real victims of sex trafficking.
If someone feels that way, then they don’t actually love gothic romance! It’s totally ok to admit that some genres just aren’t your style, & if you’re bothered by all the various forms of toxic, problematic themes in gothic media, then it’s just not your style.
i find it very lovely that the characters in this series can be monstrous in a manner that exacerbates our mundane, human flaws and still find someone to give them unconditional love :)
lestat being able to express his frustrations with louis is a positive thing when you take in consideration that he couldn’t even talk without getting beaten up from his brothers. imo lestat not performing for louis is more of a love confession then him dropping his frustrations
the way lestat seems cold and cynical here in louis' memories, but the fact that when lestat was recording a song for claudia he remembered this exact moment makes it clear how much it meant to him to play piano with her, to share his love for music with his daughter ☹️
Happy Birthday to Louis de Pointe du Lac, one of the most iconic and haunting vampires in literature, a masterpiece born from Anne Rice’s extraordinary mind and brought beautifully to life on the small screen by Rolin Jones and Jacob Anderson. 🎉🖤

i daydream of what it’ll be like when we finally get to see louis tell lestat he loves him face to face, and kiss in the modern day. it’s hard shipping slow burn romances these days
