In 1453, Sultan Mehmed II captured Constantinople after a 53-day siege. In 1974, Turkey invaded Cyprus (20 July–18 August) after a Greek-backed coup, occupying 36–37 percent of the island. Approximately 200,000 Greek Cypriots were displaced from the north; 4,500–6,000 Greek Cypriots died. Northern Orthodox churches were converted to mosques or left ruined. In Iraq, cross-border operations since 2015 (intensified 2019 via Operations Claw and Claw-Lock) killed thousands of PKK militants and displaced localized civilians, establishing Turkish outposts.

In Syria, Turkey launched Operation Euphrates Shield (24 August 2016–March 2017) against ISIS and YPG/SDF, followed by Olive Branch (20 January–24 March 2018) in Afrin (150,000–300,000 Kurds displaced; 300–500 civilians killed) and Peace Spring (9 October–November 2019) in northeast Syria (300,000+ displaced; 146–522 civilians killed). Cumulative Syrian operations (2016–present) killed 881–1,517 civilians and displaced hundreds of thousands. These events, spanning centuries, reduced Christianity to a historic remnant while reshaping demographics through documented military actions.

@msthpa1 Δεν τον ξέρω τον τύπο αλλά δεν έχει καμία σημασία εφόσον υπάρχουν εκλογικές περιφέρειες. Με το ίδιο σκεπτικό στην Ελλάδα θα έβγαζαν βουλευτές μόνο από την Αθήνα και κανένα σύμπλεγμα νησιών δεν θα είχε βουλευτή.
