Bo Jackson won the state decathlon title in high school doing only 8 events!

Was afraid of the pole vault and hated the mile run, so just got enough points in the other events to beat everyone else.

No one comes close to him as an athlete. Imagine Derek Henry or Aaron Donald playing MLB and hitting home runs and throwing runners out at home from Right Center.

After I posted that photo of Van Horn back in 1908, several of y'all wondered what the tall, relatively solid-looking building in the background was. It was the first "real" schoolhouse in Van Horn and had been built the previous year. Quite a handsome building for far West Texas in the early 1900s, don't y'all think?

Ichiro Suzuki vs Selected Girls Team from High Schools :9.0IP, 5H, 17K, 1BB, 127Pitches. Fastest pitch clocked at 136KPH(84.5MPH).

On Sunday, Ichiro pitched in the annual exhibition game between Japanese woman baseball team and Ichiro's Kobe Chiben team. Ichiro added 2/5 at the plate as the Kobe Chiben beats Selected Girls Team 7-0 in the shutout victory.

I don’t think there’s ever been a human in history who loves baseball more than ichiro.
