agreed. they should do a CRO style tier lockup where the lockup amount is denoted in USD terms instead of native token terms.

As token gets more expensive fewer tokens need to be purchased for lockup, but would be the same amount of buying pressure USD-wise. For people who bought XPL cheap they will have more liquid tokens to play with (or allow partial unstaking after a period of time)
