Eugene Wamalwa was left seeing with his mouth wide open after opposition leaders descended on his home over the weekend, turned his late brother Kijana Wamalwaโs 23rd anniversary into a full-blown political rally, ate minofu like there was no tomorrow, and left him with a KSh 6.1 million bill.
The anniversary which was meant to honour the late Kijana Wamalwa attracted political heavyweights from the opposition. Eugene being the gracious host, he opened his doors to his political comrades expecting the famous spirit of harambee to kick in when the bills arrived.
Unfortunately, according to the story doing the rounds, the WANTAM choir members arrived with speeches, ate their way through the menu, shook hands, posed for photos and disappeared into thin air.
George Natembeya reportedly stayed away because of their political rivalry with Eugene. When the dust settled, KSh 6.1 million bill was staring Eugene straight in the face. The only notable contribution mentioned is said to have come from former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who reportedly gave out 1 million.
Meanwhile, suppliers contracted to provide catering, tents and other services are allegedly camping at Eugene's home waiting for their money. Rumour has it Eugene eventually escaped back to Nairobi in the dead of night, leaving the suppliers behind conducting a different kind of political rally while shouting Wamalwa Mastii Go!!
The poor suppliers are now staring at poverty with their sanpanku eyes, wondering how an anniversary that began with politicians celebrating Kijana Wamalwa ended with them personally mourning their bank accounts.
It's bad ayaaam telling you. May Yehova Wanyonyi remember his poor pipoos in that thing called outside catering services. Kama kawa sisi walala hoii hatuna maoni, Letu Jicho tu.๐

In 2019, Dennis Ngaruiya became the center of a national media storm when his family rejected a state-gifted house from President Uhuru Kenyatta. Five years prior, the talented schoolboy had wowed the President with a poem, earning a personal invitation to State House and a promise of a brand-new home.
However, Ngaruiya supported his mother's decision to refuse the Nakuru County house, sharing her fears that the completely unfenced property left them highly vulnerable to security threats.
The young poet later expressed heartbreak over the situation, revealing that neighbors began mocking him as a "reject" before local administrators ultimately reallocated the home to another family.
Why do politicians keep recycling themselves in government?
Kenyan politicians are NOT enemies.
They are OLIGARCHS who just want to remain in the 1% of Kenya's wealthy.
To STOP a new set of billionaires, they bring TRIBAL Politics during the election period.
