For me I understand this is the larger scheme.

Evidently, the camp that the kids were at had several safety inspections, which they failed. There were recommendations to add weather alert alarms and other emergency infrastructure for exactly this sort of event.

Instead of spending on lifesaving measures, they used all the funds to increase the effectiveness of their Christian mission of converting and saving souls.

From a Christian perspective, it doesn’t matter if the Christian children die - they go to heaven… just as the image shows. It’s not important to learn about math or science, about how the world works, improve on skills; all that matters is that they are Christian and stay that way until death so they can be saved.

I view the image as a reflection of this mentality, which is why I find it so disgusting. It’s excusing the disregard for life and limb by appealing to their imagination.
