Yes housing developments are important, but to reduce traffic congestion, there needs to also be a stricter regulations on the development plot ratio - don't just build high dense towers around areas with 1 or 2 small lanes https://t.co/ZTk6PnvPSe
Hopefully the govt will keep their promise on ensuring these new housing developments near trains stations are affordable. As for the existing housing developments, no idea what they can do to lower prices haha
it’s not about helping the poor. it’s about making money (higher demand for houses near to MRT = higher price)
if the concept of “helping the poor” exists, all PPR would be near to MRT/LRT/KTM
They keep saying that this is an improved version of the current FPP scheme, but here are some of the concerns on why having a private clinic would cause unfairness to patients. KKM should release the internal audits on the current FPP schemes to see if it really benefits HCWs
A senior consultant surgeon in MOH says overworked specialists likely won’t join Rakan KKM to do extra work and remain in public service. Younger doctors value work-life balance and Rakan KKM likely can’t match private sector doctor fees under Schedule 13.

they announced the approval of the on call duty allowance/ETAP first in APRIL before any announcement of the WBB....make it make sense...this was such a red herring for increased allowance demands
Paling lewat Jun tiba tiba tak boleh laksana sebab staff tak cukup & tak boleh laksana WBB. Dah tu siapa yang pandai2 suggest WBB??? Dari dulu dah cakap dah staff tak cukup tapi tak percaya..
Interestingly enough they didn't mention anything about their proposal to shorten housemanship from two years to one year. I feel like that should've been mentioned here
They had a pilot programme for the new WBB system back in February - has there been any reports on that? They should share their findings, even though the outcome was obvious from the start

This was the state of public hospitals in Malaysia 4 years ago. Has the public healthcare system gotten stronger since? Are there more doctors prepared in the event another outbreak happens?
Covid-19 patients at the emergency dept in Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) Klang share an oxygen supply wall that is meant for a single patient. This will result in reduced pressure and inaccurate readings. Video taken from an anonymous doctor in the week of July 5-9, 2021.
Amazing how Private GPs managed to rally against mandatory drug price display while nothing is being done for our junior doctors aka our FUTURE doctors. Please we need to get organised @HKontrak@MMA_JDN
June is just around the corner, but junior doctors still haven’t seen the promised on-call allowance hike. Burnout is real, and broken promises don’t help 😤 https://t.co/651m4NaIaf
Couldn't be anymore obvious that the govt is desperately trying to seek areas for revenue. Malaysia's tax base is too small. SST doesn't cover as much as GST did. GST is definitely something they'll have to consider in the future 🤷♀️
Recent kegilaan by @HASiL_Malaysia is their attempt to subject all and sundry agreements that includes letters of offers to employees using an archaic law introduced by colonialist Britain in 1949.
Private Hospital Bill is extremely High? The doctors are not at fault! Why? Because their fees are regulated.
Blame the operator of the private hospital who put on surcharges on everythings thats not regulated
Why they charge so high? Because shareholders need to see higher profit! Who owns KPJ? Who owns IHH? at least half is owned by govt + rakyat money (all these investment funds)
The costs of private healthcare are
- Doctors’ Professional Fee (REGULATED)
- Medications (UNregulated)
- Consumables (unregulated)
- Add-ons; Services, laboratory, investigations, allied health services eg; nurses etc (unregulated)
Last update of Doctors’ Fees under Act 586 PHFSA, Thirteenth Schedule Federal Government Gazzette P.U.(A) 358 was on 16th December 2013 —> 12yrs ago!
