I am doing something a little mental. Tomorrow I will be walking for 24 hours straight around Parliament in protest at this Government's lack of action for animals. It is going to be mentally and physically exhausting but hopefully well worth it!

Britain is eating halal meat without even knowing it - I'm pushing for a full ban on halal slaughter in Parliament.

But without that, we need proper labelling.

Transparent, honest, clear.

The vast majority of the British people do not want to eat halal meat.

Make it clear to the British people that they are participating in halal slaughter, then hopefully ban it.

All non-stun slaughter needs to be outlawed, kosher included.

As a farmer, that abhorrent level of animal cruelty makes me sick. Millions of animals butchered alive, bleeding to death. Sick. Sick. Sick.

It is simply not how we do things in Britain.
