1๏ธโฃ Sidekicks as NPCs in UEFN
Sidekicks are now available as scriptable NPCs in UEFN.
Creators can customize how they look, animate them, script behavior with Verse, and even bring a playerโs own Sidekick into an island experience.

Creators can now use Scene Graph weapon templates for:

You can customize how weapons look, sound, and play, including mesh, VFX, audio, damage, fire rate, spread, and recoil.
Important note:
These Scene Graph entities are not compatible with older saving methods like the Save Point device. Epic says to use Verse persistence.

Big step for mobile friendly Fortnite games.

Important Live Edit note:
Live Edit is improved, but some changes can still require Push Changes. The new tools make it clearer what is already live and what still needs to be pushed.
โ ๏ธ Important Publishing Change:
Illegal Property Override warnings are now errors in v41.00.
That means new or updated islands with these errors are blocked from publishing. Current published versions where the warning appeared will stay live.
๐ค Follow a Developer Update:
In v41.10, Epic will remove the Follow a Developer button from the Developer Profile Link device.
The device itself will still be usable, and existing follower counts are not affected.
If your island currently tells players to follow you through that device, update those callouts before v41.10.

๐จ Unreal Engine 6 looks like the start of Epicโs next major ecosystem shift.
Rocket League is officially moving to UE6, and Epicโs announcement showed more than just Rocket League.
The graphic included Fortnite, Disney, LEGO Fortnite, UEFN experiences, and Rocket League together inside one larger ecosystem.
That is the real story.
UE6 is starting to look like the foundation for Epic connecting its biggest games, IP, and creator-made experiences.

Stop being afraid to speak up because you think honest feedback will hurt your chances with Epic. Constructive criticism is something they need to hear right now.
Comment. Share feedback. Repost concerns. Make your voice heard.
But do it respectfully. Donโt turn every discussion into attacks or toxicity. Be clear, constructive, and honest about the issues youโre seeing.
And donโt wait to speak up only when the problems finally affect you personally.
A healthy ecosystem requires feedback from everyone, not just the creators currently affected.

Letโs me put this into perspective. This is a full scale BR map, same size as Chapter 6, with many custom assets, textures, music, materials, ambient audio. Fully baked HLODs, gameplay systems, cinematics and rigging.
And we managed to fit it within memory, and into under 400mb

โข Downranking games that are too similar to existing ones
โข Adding stricter pre-checks for thumbnails and originality
โข Cleaning up Discover so games only show in relevant rows
โข Standardizing genres with dedicated rows
โข Increasing visibility for fun, original experiences
โข Making Discover more dynamic and regularly refreshed
This is a shift toward quality over volume.
