Today's #FindsFriday is a new acquisition.
An early medieval coin brooch made from a gilded silver penny of Edward the Confessor, dating to the early 1050s AD.
The coin has been modified by adding a hinged pin and catch plate.

I've been very quiet as I have been completing my analysis. First draft submitted just now. Its already clear this hoard changes everything we know about Short Cross coinage.
