@WreckaCenter I was once observed the day I returned from my tonsillectomy/sinus surgery recovery. I could barely raise my voice, let alone lead an involved math lesson to 7th graders.
@educatorpaula Love this take. I had my desks grouped into pods and used a random team generator ~weekly back when I was in the classroom (counselor now). This changed up groups constantly and allowed me to very easily assign seating.
@druinok I used to make bellringers on Quizizz each day, the code would be posted on the white board/screen when they walked in. Gave them ~5 min, and then went over (as a whole class) the solutions that got the most incorrect answers.
@howie_hua Sooo much. But the most memorable and easiest change, asking “What questions do you have?” instead of “do you have any questions?” - small change, huge difference in replies
When I do get married I want to hire a Kindergarten or 1st grade teacher to plan my wedding because, based on what they create in their classrooms, I’m certain that I’d have a wedding that looks like it cost $1 million, but was only a $50 Amazon Gift Card.
