@GoodwinMJ Same in Canada. My grandson went on line to various universities to review scholarships and looked at the profile of winners for the last five years and didn’t even bother. Not one white face.
@ZiaYusufUK Sounds a bit like the East India Company in the 19th Century. They’ll probably have their own private army next……..or do they already have a private army.
@MarcNixon24@LanceNadeau3 My wife is 75 and I am 78 and just the two of us seniors pay about $250 a week in groceries, $1,000 a month. Where does Carney get his $800 a week for a family. Totally out of touch with reality. But $200,000 for aeroplane meals.
This is absolutely insane that the police could treat Henry like a criminal when he couldn’t even tell his side of the story because he was choking on his own blood. Talk about a rush to judgement based on skin colour. These police at the scene need to be fired and prosecuted for neglect of duty.
@thatCdnGal@toddmodem@TorontoPolice Probably in the pay of the IRGC to cause trouble in the Jewish communities and institutions. Probably part of the Quds Force which seems to be operating freely in Canada despite being banned and classified as a terroist organization.
Nigel Farage and Reform have themselves to blame for the emergence of Restore. If they hadn’t mistreated Rupert Lowe so badly with trumped up criminal charges, Reform wouldn’t be looking over its shoulder and panicking over the serious gains Restore is starting to make with the electorate. Let democracy play out as it should.
@SimonFoxWriter Remind me who kicked Rupert Lowe out of the Reform Party which caused Rupert Lowe to create the Restore Party. It’s called cause and effect or hoist by your own petard. It was Nigel Farage who divided the right and Reform must suffer the consequences of his actions.
Quite a pile of bullshit. Reform is doing nothing on rape gangs. Show us the evidence. As for Makerfield let the best party win. Reform is planting its flag, and testing its status as a party. Interesting times. If Labour win, it’s because of Reforms rejection of Rupert Lowe, and only has itself to blame.
@Councillorsuzie Susan, you are a voice of reason, a lone voice shouting into the wilderness for sanity and reason to return to political discourse, and being a Tottenham fan makes you even more wonderful.
Haven’t tweeted for a while, because quite frankly, the world is going to Hell in a hang basket. Ancient Chinese philosophy. I just don’t believe our politicians any more. It seems we live in a corrupt society where everybody is out for themselves. Case in point the five Conservatives in Canada who passed over to the Liberals. All Canadians are okay with this just normal politics. Nothing to see here. Liberal outrageous spending and corruption to its cronies, $100 millions, on various failed efforts like the $200 million concrete slab in Nova Scotia and many others, it’s just how we do business. Canadians yawn, shrug, and sleep walk through their day to day activities. It doesn’t concern us, forgetting they are paying for all of this through their taxes. When will Canadians wake up. I’m not sure. They seem at peace with mediocrity. Live long and accept your well deserved fate.
@brianlilley@FiveWoke Cost of Canadian Iceberg vodka 1.75 litres in Canada $69.95. Cost of the same vodka in the U.S. $21, converted to Cdn $29, a difference of $40. Perhaps you would care to address this in your speech @MarkJCarney
@MacLeodLisa@FiveWoke I agree 100% , Lisa, Carney is making a mockery of our democracy. Parliament should be looking at changes to the elections act to prevent floor crossing without a by-election.
Voters in federal elections vote for candidates in the party they wish to succeed and form government. Crossing the floor after constituents voted for a particular party does a gross disservice to democracy. A parliamentary committee needs to be set up to discuss this issue with a view to seek a by-election for the riding of any MP who crosses the floor to another party. The Liberals are making a mockery of the Canadian electorate and at the very least need to be severely punished in the next election. Never forget.
