@lunarisfumum@Mialm2021 I expect more involvement in digital (it’s happening). Dizis drive tourism/image, which is why more and more of them feel like endless GoTürkiye ads. They see a way around the domestic market. That’s why the same faces and creators keep appearing there, not because of freedom.
@Mialm2021 This industry is built on the logical but flawed premise that ratings can drive a story forward, and that as long as writers constantly adjust the story to keep audiences happy each week, the money will keep coming in. That’s why every series ends so badly. So, I’d fix the model.
@melaltverse Two problems from my POV: a weak economy (adv💸📉), and a model built solely around selling audiences to advertisers. Playing safe and recycling plots, stretching hits past their creative lifespan, the industry is cannibalizing itself (+ market distortions making it worse).
@PopFestTR TV is driven by the advertising market, and the advertising market is driven by the economy. Whatever changes the industry makes, ad budgets won't become more predictable until the economy does.
@thmery TK is not an absurd comedy. Hatun, Candan, etc, the viewers know that the humor comes from their eccentric personalities and the way they clash, not from some absurd, nonsensical world.
@adbr_1@TheCinesthetic I don't think she destroyed anything. Society and the beuty industry push women into doing this, convincing them that aging is a medical emergency. She's been made to believe that to keep her career, she has to stay 30 forever. This is what the industry, and ppl expects of them.
@EnginAytasegem Dizis exist to sell audiences to advertisers, changes make sense. But insisting on squeezing every last drop of ad potential by betting on longevity instead on new stories is not 2026. Ad budjets are shrinking, ppl cant stay hooked for years, the majority are 2/3-screeners
@Predictivemoney@abierkhatib I see you’re struggling to understand, so let me put it this way:
Gaza is occupied. So, on the other side of the Egyptian border, there are israelis not gazians
That means Gazans cannot simply import goods from Egypt without Israeli approval.
@dizilah These shows exist to sell viewers to advertisers, and this one broke its promise through systemic failure. The entire project was pinned on one actor alone, so now the fallout lands on him. He should fire the people steering his career and switch to professionals.
@luhopa@dizilah Ratings don’t measure acting — they measure marketing.
Promo, timing, platform push, competition: that’s what decides the numbers.
Story and acting only matter after people actually find the show.
