@EverCynic@CaptTuttle2215@phoenixnewtimes dthe officer who murdered our neighbor wasn't even reprimanded, this isn't the first instance of police getting away with murder, the system is designed for every single one of them to act with impunity and have no allegiance to the ppl they serve
New ACLU report documents 76 ways mass deportation is being used to attack free speech, due process and the courts. This is a crucial piece of research for understanding how immigration enforcement is dividing our country. @ACLU

Last night in Tempe, Ariz., the offices of the border wall contractor Fisher Industries had all their ground floor windows smashed out in solidarity with the Lochiel land defenders.
oh my god??? Marshall entire campaign staff is paid by taxpayers! he has no paid staff! They were charging almost every trip and tons of meals to the official account!
There's even a text message where his chief says to route his trips through Sarasota!!!!

"In Lochiel, Arizona, where people have been resisting the construction of the border wall, one brave activist locked down to construction machinery—and Border Patrol drove it away with them locked to it."

"People are taking the streets now from France and Spain to New York City and Arizona—against police, against ICE, against gentrification, against ethnic cleansing and genocide. All of these are elements of a system that treats us as expendable."
this cannot be allowed to happen it is genuinely the tipping point into full blown fascism, not letting this happen should be our biggest priority, people will get addicted to it, there will be compilation videos, it will be the most disgusting thing thats never happened before
“Protesters said Border Patrol and BORTAC have “beaten, detained, arrested, and maced activists engaged in morning prayer,” and “kidnapped” fellow protesters who faced further abuse while in custody for about 24 hours".

Yesterday, an ICE agent opened fire in Marble Hill. They shot a member of our community in the neck while he was in his car. His five-year-old kid was in a child seat in the back of the car when ICE agents fired at least 7 rounds into it. This was in the middle of the afternoon, with children walking home from school and people heading home from work. Federal agents put every one of them in danger.
When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence. As I was trying to de-escalate, I was shoved to the ground by an officer. I witnessed unmarked law enforcement cars hitting protestors as NYPD officers pushed people out of its path. And instead of condemning ICE’s violence, Police Commissioner Tisch attempted to justify the shooting by reading off our neighbor’s past interactions with police.
The NYPD spent more time protecting a militia that just shot someone than protecting New Yorkers. Last night, the NYPD and Commissioner Tisch violated the spirit, if not the letter, of our sanctuary city policies and fueled the Trump Administration’s attempt to demonize our communities. The NYPD’s Strategic Response Group must be disbanded as quickly as possible, and Commissioner Tisch must step down.
In this district, there are mothers who are afraid to send their kids to school, workers who are afraid to show up for their shifts, and people who won’t call for help anymore because they can’t be sure who will come. That’s what it means to have a violent militia operating in your community. You don’t feel safe walking down your own street.
For decades, we’ve been told ICE can be fixed with more oversight, better training, or reform. But you can’t reform an agency whose purpose is to terrorize immigrant families. You can’t train cruelty out of a system built to enact cruelty. ICE must be abolished.
This moment demands that everyone step up. Elected officials at every level need to stop hedging and say it plainly: Abolish ICE now. Our city must enforce every sanctuary protection we have and city officials must ensure this cannot happen again.
@EverCynic@CaptTuttle2215@phoenixnewtimes notice how you recognize that a reality with police not killing impunity doesn't exist so you have to compare it to a movie about excessive police violence, honestly poetic man. if no reality exists where pigs cant keep their fat fingers off the trigger, then pigs shouldnt exist
We got the bodycam and in-car footage related to the Flock search that a judge ruled was "indiscriminate mass surveillance" and unconstitutional. Ton of wild stuff in here
