Supporting the community is an integral part of what we do as a Foundation, however we have to consider the safety of all those involved and sadly in conjunction with Newport Hub we have to cancel todays activities in the Newport area.

All our other activities, in particular Walking Football (St. Peter's) and Herlingshaw Centre will be open and welcome to participants as normal.

Around 70 young people aged between 8 and 16 came together for our traditional summer holiday #PLKicks intra-site tournament at the Herlingshaw, South Bank this afternoon.

Three groups from TS1 representing the Teesside University session, attended the event as well as participants from our PL Kicks provision throughout Teesside, including East Cleveland and Hartlepool, came together to celebrate the end of another year of positive, diversionary activities.

“This session has been planned for a long time,” says the Foundation’s Youth Engagement Coordinator, Eve Allen. “As our other tournaments have been, it was fully inclusive, really enjoyable and very keenly contested! Participants coming together from different communities and leaving with smiles is always good to see.”
