@elonmusk Since 2000, homicide rates have dropped sharply in Europe but barely changed in the United States - Our World in Data https://t.co/NkkW5mEsyL
You people are fucking retarded

US homicide rates were 7.0 times higher than in other high-income countries, driven by a gun homicide rate that was 25.2 times higher. For 15- to 24-year-olds, the gun homicide rate in the United States was 49.0 times higher.
@HollowaySimmer@worldranking_ America was named after the italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch got to the american continent well before english did. Stay in your lane.
@GarandThumb1 They've resorted to those terms because they have nothing else to justify this obvious example of excessive use of force. He did not approach them, he did not draw, point or discharge his weapon at them, he was disarmed before the first shot was fired.
@MichaelAArouet@Znbrg Hi, young unemployed italian here, the euro is based as fuck and all of our properties are now worth orders of magnitude more than they used to, we all own our homes and inherit wothout tax, the lira was worthless, and our economy is doing mighty fine. Stay in your lane.
@alightinastorm Median wealth is much higher in Luxembourg, netherlands and Belgium, all eu countries. Besides switzerland is almost entirely dependent on its surrounding eu countries, and takes in more migrants than them combined (almost 30% of the country is migrants), and no not the good ones
@ApoStructura If it's anchored to a continental shelf, then it's definitely within some nation's eez. If it isn't, it is a vessel, thus required by law to have a flag and be registered in a country (and abide by its laws). Lawlessness in the high seas is hollywood stuff.
@thewirelessgod@Kleanisklean Ever seen russia-ukraine war footage? They are full of neon tape to recognise each other, this is just integrated into the camo as will probably happen in a future conflict where nowadays all sides use basically the same camo (multicam)
@EndersFPS Neon tape is used everywhere by soldiers these days to recognise friend from foe because literally everyone uses some variant of multicam. Look at russia and ukraine, they wear yellow, blue (ukr) and red (russia) tape all over themselves, this is just integrated into the camo.
@AMK_Mapping_ Also, putin continuing the war because he knows he will win is such a stupid argument, both sides in every conflict believe they can win, it doesn't mean they "know" they will. And by the looks of things, it seems putin doesn't know a whole lot, he's the one on hopium imo.
@AMK_Mapping_ Ukraine employs mobile defence tactics, the land russia is gaining is worthless empty muddy plains, while also losing troops and vehicles at several times the rate ukraine is. Russia may have the numbers now, but not the time, which is why they have to push now, desperately.
@ArmchairW Because it's been 4 years of this, ukrainians know what to do when it happens, they have an early warning system (also thx to western recon) available to everyone, and shelters are common and easily reachable. Plus most of them were intercepted and many were decoys. Clear?
@IAPonomarenko Still waiting for those nukes, considering the accuracy of their "state of the art" oreshnik i think they'll just be digging trenches in the fields
@WarMonitor3 I do wander what escalation might even mean at this point, is there anything more that Russia can do? Nukes are not really an option unless they want to cease to exist over some frankly worthless land and flattened villages, will they take out the tu-160, su57 and t14s?
@HitDaWallAgain@JohnDoe75692933@secretsqrl123 That still doesn't imply that russia is under threat of being dismantled, and no it's no surprise, just as americans, Canadians, irish and australians speak english, former colonies that i wouldn't advocate return to their former ruler, just as ukraine.
@HitDaWallAgain@JohnDoe75692933@secretsqrl123 Russia is no stranger to pulling out of conflicts it cannot win, military defeat seems to be the only deterrent, besides, given their population density in moscow and st petersburg, they definitely have an interest in avoiding a nuclear conflict.
