Wash day was done. Her curls were clean, thick, and beautiful. She sealed everything with shea butter, skipped the leave-in conditioner, and figured, “My hair will be fine until my hair appointment.”

Here’s the thing: shea butter is not a moisturizer. It’s a sealant. It helps lock moisture in, but it can’t replace moisture that was never there.

Don’t skip your leave-in conditioner after wash day. Give your hair the moisture it needs before sealing it with oils or butter.
