This afternoon, Minister of State for Education @ClaudetteIrere joined Day Two of the TVET Sub-Sector Working Group Retreat, where discussions focused on strengthening Rwandaโs skills development agenda and accelerating progress toward the national target of creating 1.25 million productive and decent jobs by 2029.
In her remarks, the Minister of State emphasized the need for a resilient and future-ready TVET system that can withstand global disruptions while continuing to deliver quality training. She called for stronger industry partnerships, greater focus on entrepreneurship and self-reliance, and a renewed commitment to aligning training programmes with labour market needs.
โEven in the face of global challenges, our ambition remains unchanged. We must continue equipping learners with the skills, innovation, and adaptability needed to thrive, create jobs, and contribute meaningfully to Rwandaโs economic transformation.โ

Today in Paris, I stood where memory speaks louder than words.
As a survivor of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, this memorial touched my heart deeply. It honors those we lost, preserves the truth, and reminds us of our shared responsibility to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.
We remember. We honor. We carry their legacy forward. ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ท๐ผ
