Teams are willing to tolerate drug users, domestic violence abusers, drunk driving, all kinds of loutish behavior, but don’t be smart. Don’t be too smart for your own good. 🙄
It’s hard to imagine the @celtics without @FCHWPO.
Thank you, Jaylen, for everything you gave to Massachusetts — on the court, in our communities and for the next generation of young people who look up to you.
You’ll always have a home in Boston.
Why is no one talking about them? Oh, I forgot.
They're Palestinians. If they had been Ukrainians, they would have been mentioned during every FIFA World Cup 2026 match.
As much as I appreciate Stephanie’s comments here denouncing the hatred Black players are receiving, it’s her & the team playing both sides of the fence. She said in the press conference that her “generational player” doesn’t get calls but we’ve seen multiple push offs, instigating the crowd against players/teams, & a combative team culture that permeates online.
The team is posting memes while Black players are getting death threats and doxxed.
This has been happening for 3 years now. All of it just feels a little too late and it should be coming from players like Caitlin & Sophie who surprisingly have been able to capitalize off of it all. As well as those truly in power on a league/team level that can put actions & consequences in place to truly protect all players. Ban racist fans, conduct better bias training, and regardless of it making the team a higher profit & getting players notoriety, don’t allow these forms of hatred and supremacy to align itself with your team.
If you’re looking for a reason why the Celtics wanted out of Jaylen Brown’s contract so bad that they would take on Paul George and two first round picks ⬇️
Private equity influence is changing the Celtics
Going to get into the basketball side of all this shortly, but before that:
Jaylen Brown embraced this city & community in a way few pro athletes have. The youth in this city will never forget it. There's a legacy/impact here that is so much deeper than basketball.
Rob Manfred you have two doors:
1. The obvious one
2. Pretend it's cool for a white pitcher to yell "sit down boy" at a Venezuelan (this week of all times), and don't do anything because you doesn't want the paid Twitter commentariat to pretend to stop watching baseball
There’s a war on Jaylen Brown and I will not stand for this. As a black man from Boston I’ve never seen a Celtics player more active in the Boston community than him. He even hired mad people from the City to help him.
