🚨‼️Raneshia Pointer, (then 22) was arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department after a social media feud led to a physical fight and a shooting 💥🔫, after she lost the fight on Longridge Avenue, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Event occurred June 2023.

The victim was struck in the shoulder and survived. She was booked on felony counts of attempted second-degree murder and weapons charges.

This is not the first time she has been involved in a shooting like. In 2022, Raneshia and her mother Rhesa Pointer, were involved in a similar shooting after a fight didn’t go her way.

In that case, Raneshia was booked with principal to attempted second-degree murder, principal to illegal use of weapons, two counts of principal to aggravated damage to property, simple battery, disturbing the peace and child desertion.
Her mother, Rhesa, was booked for attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, two counts of aggravated damage to property, simple battery, disturbing the peace and child desertion.

Raneshia Pointer and her mother, Rhesa Pointer, both avoided immediate prison time after pleading guilty to their respective roles in the November 2022 Ascension Parish gas station shooting.
The 23rd Judicial District Court handed down the following sentences:

In July 2024, Raneshia Pointer pled guilty to Illegal Use of Weapons and Principal to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.
Sentence: She was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections. However, the judge suspended the prison sentence and placed her on 3 years of supervised probation with credit for time served.

Rhesa Pointer (The Mother)
In September 2024, Rhesa Pointer pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of Weapons, and Aggravated Battery.
Sentence: She was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections. Similar to her daughter, the judge suspended her prison sentence and placed her on 5 years of supervised probation with credit for time served.
