One of the best stories of the state tournament right now belongs to the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies. 🏀🔥
The #8 seed Huskies are headed to the KSHSAA 6A Girls State Basketball Tournament championship game for the first time in school history after taking down Wichita East Aces 54-49 in the semifinals. Regan Becker led the way with a game-high 23 points and knocked down three of four free throws in the final 20 seconds to seal the victory.
Blue Valley Northwest has now taken down two heavy hitters in Wichita, first defeating #1 seed Wichita Heights Falcons in the quarterfinals before the semifinal win over Wichita East. The Huskies will now await the winner of Derby Panthers and Shawnee Mission South Raiders, with the championship game set for Saturday at 12:30 in Wichita.
After the win, Jason Lamb caught up with head coach Jeff Piggie and Becker following the historic victory. #sportsinkansas
