@Chicagojewlz@LargeFamDad It’s a privilege to get hit in the balls, it’s a reminder that God has bestowed upon them the gift of masculinity. To sit there and wish it wasn’t painful is to deny God’s reality for you. They should instead be thankful for the reminder of their biological purpose.
@LadyNimby@kricketdash02 There are tons of kids and toddler books about emotions, we read them a lot. I wanted my child to understand it was Ok to have the feelings they did but they are not allowed to express them by screaming, yelling, throwing or hitting.
@LadyNimby Start at 5, firm by 6. Every child is different but I’m personally not expecting a toddler to understand how to act and reason like an adult. For us 4 would have been too young.
That’s terrible, your baby is crying because they need you. Sleep training is cruel and neglectful to the baby. Embrace what your baby is telling you that they need. Learn how to safely co-sleep, get a bassinet and put it next to your bed. Work on accepting the fact you are at a season in your life where you are not going to be able to sleep like you did before you had the baby - not for a few years, at least. This time will pass. Don’t cause your child trauma just for short term personal gain.
You are the mother of an infant, it is literally your job to be their “pacifier”. They rely on you entirely for comfort and pacification. “Sleep training” is simply neglecting their needs long enough that they stop alerting you they have a need at all. It is not good for the baby, it’s for the selfish parent who prioritizes themselves over the needs of their baby.
@_cotton_ball@maternalgroyp “The idea of them experiencing trauma is a lie” “here’s an example of how my fully grown adult children still experience trauma from how I raised them, isn’t that funny? We all laugh about it all the time”
Babies lack the capacity to be manipulative. They are not crying out at night because they are spoiled and refusing to “soothe themselves”; or because they are just trying to ruin mom’s day by not letting her get enough sleep.
Short-sighted and selfish women annoy me.
Just gonna throw out there that you can't spoil babies.
That means you can't hold them too much. You can't talk to them too much.
If they wake up hungry in the middle of the night, you won't spoil them to feed them.
People forget they are constantly doing growing.
“Sleep training” one of the most selfish and harmful practices to come out of modern parenting.
Please do not ignore your crying baby. There is a reason why it hurts your heart to ignore them - it’s because you’re not supposed to!
There are fully grown adults who dislike sleeping alone, why are you expecting an infant to be okay to sleep alone in a room by themselves for extended periods with no physical touch?
What they don’t tell you about cosleeping is that most cases of infants being accidentally smothered happen because the mother has comorbidities - she is drunk or on drugs, has metabolic disease and is overweight, or otherwise unhealthy. A healthy mom will rarely have any issues with cosleeping.
Sleep training is intentionally depriving your infant of care they need because you’re prioritizing yourself over them. It’s neglectful and abusive. An infant’s brain is not “learning to self soothe”, it’s incapable. They cry because that’s how they communicate they need you, and if they eventually stop crying, it’s only because they’ve learned to accept neglect because their mom refuses to come to them.
Sleep training is not what’s best for a child, it’s what’s easiest for the parent.
@drerincallaghan Yep, mine didn’t fully sleep thru the night till after 2 years old. It’s sad there are women who are so unintelligent they think all babies should fit on the same scale.
This is such a dumb take. Every baby is different. If a baby wakes up hungry in the middle of the night, are you not going to feed them because they are seven months old and you’ve decided they shouldn’t be hungry anymore at their age? Let the mother be the mother, she knows instinctually how to care for her baby. I was severely sleep deprived for the first 18 months of my child’s life, they were simply a horrible sleeper. Thank God I didn’t have internet hags try to make me feel like it was my fault. I was able to care for her as needed and heal in peace. Women like you are why so many don’t bother to reach out for support when they need it. Shame on you.
@nypost Dude can’t even perform in a TV interview.
Couldn’t perform as a kind and loving boyfriend without beating the crap out of her. But sure, he performed CPR 👍
