Om niet te vergeten: op deze dag werd in 1946 het Humanistisch Verbond opgericht. Drijvende kracht hierachter was Jaap van Praag, die in de onderduik het boek "Modern humanisme" schreef. Hij wilde een dam opwerpen tegen "menselijke ontaarding" en "onvoorstelbare wreedheid".
