@bobwilliams208@DaveKent101 There would be limited incentive to earn over £100k as you pay more tax than you take home. People would work part time or put money into pensions more
@NoEducationTax@EdwardMorelloWD The rugby clubs themselves have private schools that take their academy players at 16 to balance A-levels & rugby with only certain courses available at state college for the players
@JonathanBrash@SteveCo12420968@FairerShare But how does it work in practice, I paid stamp duty already so what discount do I get? Will that discount vary depending on the % stamp duty applied? I’ve extended my house & paid VAT on that work but my house is now worth more… how is this taken into account?
@writtenoff_mufc It’s my role as a parent to regulate social media which me & my husband does. They are educated on the harms & have limits set. Both watch a lot of YouTube for their hobbies, now that will just use my account.
So apparently you’ll soon be able to vote at 17 but not be on social media too long after 8.30pm if this article is correct. The world has gone crazy! https://t.co/KahqRBW8VV
@PolitlcsUK Seriously YouTube??! That is absolutely crazy to include on the list as the content is highly curated already. It’s like banning the BBC or another streaming service
@legocrankykong@noelplum So why isn’t VAT added to tutoring? It should be given your argument. My children cost the state nothing to educate give parents freedom by allowing them an allowance to educate their children where they want. Charge VAT only on schools charging over a certain amount. Sorted!
@EastMidRailway just had East Midlands Parkway station cancelled AGAIN. 3rd time in 4 journeys. Please can you let me know when you’ll be in a position to run a reliable service again
@DJMarkAnthonyUK@bphillipsonMP I was really hoping that image wasn’t really but it is. Clear discrimination if it was any other criteria it would be seen differently. I’m state school educated but my children was in an independent as that’s my choice. Education should never be taxed
@EastMidRailway - serious question, what proportion of your trains are running on time these days? 3 out of my 4 last journeys have had issues. Not sure about today’s but 2 of them have been over an hour
@abritishparent@Tom_Richmond Unfortunately everyone just quotes dropping birth rates but doesn’t take into account the post recession (2008) birth rate increase
