I find Code Geass hate to be extremely cringe honestly, it's like folks on here have convinced themselves it's just a bad show with a good ending, while in reality the entire product is just a consistent & compelling political-drama, which is just as intricate as it is emotional

@FragRanger I totally understand that, and I was pretty put off by the 4 episode length at first. But I'm glad that it was all killer and no filler, never overstaying its welcome and staying with you afterwards to think about it.

This video made me seek out Blue Submarine No. 6 which I watched last night, and I'm glad I did.

Totally haunting world, a fascinating unique villain and a message and conclusion that will stay with me for a while.

Final thoughts on the theme "Distant Shores":

I finished substantially less games on non-PS hardware than I would have liked though much of that had to do with a move, the allocation of space and resources.
I like what I like in terms of ecosystem and I need to reckon with that.

#28 - Dragon's Dogma 2 (PS5)

Very likely the final game I will complete this year, Dragon's Dogma 2 was an absolute joy to play once I was in a position to have a 120hz/VRR enabled TV set up.

A truly magical journey, perhaps beats Outcast 2 as my Game of the Year.

@sackchief Dipped a toe in and was not really interested, stopped playing immediately despite previously being keen on getting the Platinum. Restricting the weapons you need to use and all that just isn't fun for me. I just like watching the numbers go up.

"Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet" is an awful name, and I could do with a lot less Akira references in Western media. The recent Western attempts at Cowboy Bebop don't engender great confidence either.

Naughty Dog's games are generally good, so we'll have to wait and see.

@DragonCatalyst I just finished 3 and I am inclined to agree that 9 is a better version. While I have no regrets about playing, I would love to see 9 get the same level of love to be accessible to more people.

@shabb003 Being unaware of that line from Attack on Titan as I didn't read the manga and actively avoided spoilers, and having not been drawn in by Billy Bat enough to get to this point, I genuinely thought this was real for a long time.
