I started teaching in 1993. I made $33k with a 4 year degree plus 1 yr B.Ed. Using the Bank of Canada inflation calculator that is $60,577 today. A starting teacher with a 4 year degree and a 2yr B.Ed makes $53,000 in my board. Ask me why there is a shortage of teachers today
