Me and my brothers like to go watch movies together, so when we plan to go, we just say, "Let’s go to the movie theater," which we refer to as AMC 15 because it is closer to us and we are just used to going there, so we know if a movie comes out we plan on going there.#ling107f22

@msortosjsu This got me thinking about how in Spanish we use the inverted ¿? and ¡! just because there is no other method to separate a written remark or inquiry that would otherwise be phrased in exactly the same way, which is one of the main reasons this is necessary in Spanish.

We are supposed to conjugate the singular pronouns yo, tu, usted, el, and ella and the plural pronouns nosotros, vosotros, ustedes, and ellos/ellas. I especially have trouble conjugating irregular verbs; it is just so confusing for me. (2/2)

I work in childcare and we have times designated for lunch, snack, and dinner time. Before they eat, we tell them to clean up by playing a song. Therefore, I tell them, "Can you please clean up?" but some times it is better for me to be more stern so they do it #ling107f22 (1/2)

He is able to code switch so easily by translating from English to Korean or vice versa. While English is a second language, I admire how he can understand and express himself, such as in the lyrics he writes but also in speeches. (2/3)
