@JimSpenceDundee Demonstrating pathway and the value of developing in Scotland before moving to England as an established first team player…meaning more money than they will be offered for joining an academy…but clubs need to deliver by giving youth a chance or there’s no hope of turnaround
@BenRinnes84@Hatez_Zios56@AnthonyRJoseph With the lack of players breaking through from the academy into the first team I agree…but imagine if they did get the opportunity to play and became a 1st team regular…leaving at 21+…they would be earning 5 to 10x that sum…and potentially generating a large transfer fee too
@lawrencedonegan Scottish Premier League clubs need to play youth..show talent there is opportunity for them if they stay..without this why would 16 year olds stop going to England..I get why they take cash on offer in England as chance of breaking into 1st team in Scotland currently very low
@JonnyRoot_ It’s nothing to do with that…it is a fundamental rule…the USMNT knows that and should do the right thing by not playing him…this tarnishes what has been a great tournament to date…all teams should stand with Belgium and withdraw unless Balogun doesn’t play
@usmntonly A disgrace and fundamentally wrong…the tournament and any progress made by the USA will be forever tarnished unless this decision is reversed…all teams should stand with Belgium and withdraw until matters are put right
@stoolpresidente Sorry this is just fundamentally wrong…all teams should withdraw from the tournament in protest until the suspension is reinstated…simple as
@TheFootballFeed It’s the norm actually…winners in 1966 played all their games in their home stadium…and runners up at Euros in 2021 also played all but one of their games in their home stadium
@JBNYSports@EliteTigers1 Aha I see…that’s not the Football Club Balance Sheet…that’s a social club…this is the Football Club balance sheet…entity is Edinburgh City FC Ltd
@MartinF1903 Apparently getting paid €4m a year under his current contract in comparison to the £0.5m Steven Clarke was being paid…big difference…in the top 5 for international team managers…and far too much imo
@EliteTigers1@JBNYSports Yes not sure on that number to be honest. They don’t have to provide a P&L A/C to Companies House but their Total Net Liabilities increased by £83984 in the year to £172163, which suggests either a loss or asset write down resulting in the increased liabilities?
@SlotIsABadGoth There is still a lot of talent out there…No 1 issue is lack of opportunity to play in first team…clubs play overseas journeymen rather than give young Scot’s a chance…talent is not given a chance to develop after 17 and is wasted…kids have lots of alternatives these days
@corkifephotogr1@NFLUKIRE@Patriots Not sure I’m with you on this…Haymarket rail station is very close…no major issue hosting 67k crowds at 6 Nations matches and concerts. Agree Hampden not suitable due to poor transport links but not far short on size - the Gillette and Hard Rock stadiums have 64k capacity.
@marknelsoncomic They should. Youth take cash and head to England early as no pathway for them in Scotland. Our teams generate least amount of money from transfers across all European leagues. If clubs were required to provide a pathway by playing U21s it would benefit clubs, players and nat team
