It's one thing to win a PGA Tour event. It's an entirely other thing to hold off the No. 1 player in the world (who is running after you with a 63) with a 66 of your own to win your first event in your third pro start as a 21 year old. Incredible stuff.
Seriously? @GolfChannel ? Why should a player "graciously" accept a penalty that they honestly feel that they didn't deserve? If someone shows me a DEFINITIVE camera angle that showed his swing path was improved then there should be a penalty. But for a commentator to state that he definitely did improve his situation is , in my opinion, more about their personal opinion of Bryson than the facts. There is no down the line video that I have seen.
@BeardedBlueDevl The Duke bookstore sells it or at least did when I visited in December. They had all the vintage logos like #7 on t-shirts and long sleeves.
Since the 2000 NCAAs till this most recent 2026 NCAAs, here is a list of every team who has had at least 1 Individual NCAA Division 1 wrestling title.
• 39 total teams have had at least a single champion. 4/39 no longer have a program (Fresno St, Boise St, UC Davis, Oregon).
• Penn St leads all with 46 individual titles since 2000, followed by Oklahoma St with 28, and Cornell & Iowa each with 19.
• If you add the 2nd and 3rd teams together, it equals only 1 more than Penn St.
• IVY league schools have one less NCAAs due to league cancellation of the 2021 season.
• 44/46 of Penn State’s champs since 2000 have come from Cael Sanderson coached teams; who started coaching Penn St in the 2010 Ncaa’s and had his first champ in the 2011 Ncaa’s:
• Penn St has averaged nearly 3 champs (2.86) and has averaged 7 All American’s (7:07) for the past 15 NCAAs.
• Since 2000, Cornell and Penn St have both had two 4x champs each.
• Penn St is the only team to have at least one champ at every single weight class (they have had at least 2). Oklahoma St has had a champ in 9/10’weights (No 125 lb), while Iowa has also had 9/10 weights (No 184 lb). Cornell is next with having champs in 8/10 weights (No 174 or 285).
• Cornell has never in its history even had one All American at 285 lb weight class.
• Cornell is currently on a 2 NCAA tourney drought with no champ.
• Oklahoma St has had 5 Champs in the last 2 years (The David Taylor era).
• Penn St has had the most individual champs since 2000 at the weight classes of 149-197.
Penn St 149 & 157 (4 each), 165 & 197 (6 each), 174 (8), 184 (9).

Coach K lost in the Final Four or National Championship in 1986, 1988, 1989, and 1990, before breaking through. That’s life.

So I think that’s a good excuse to repost Tyler Kasak’s iconic moment from the 2025 Penn State vs. Iowa match.
