Reading aloud — it’s pretty amazing for kids (and grownups, too)! Whatever you’re doing this summer, make sure to spend some time reading aloud to the children in your life.
Check out this amazing artwork the students created with Mrs. Rochester in art class. It’s wonderful how the entire school can collaborate to provide cross curricular experiences to enrich the amazing AIA program.
Support our amazing Authors in April program while winning some pretty awesome prizes! The authors are arriving next week, the students can’t wait! We hope you are just as excited.

I nominated @wmarshall_RCS as a genius teacher. She creates a warm, welcoming space that students love to visit. She cultivates creativity and encourages learning in every child.
I nominated @lesleysig as a genius teacher. She keeps students at the center of her practice and keeps her eyes on what is essential in education: teaching and learning. You can nominate a teacher, too. https://t.co/hGNkiRHLoM via @SignUpGenius
The freshmen picked up a pair of wins yesterday, sweeping West Bloomfield in a cold DH. They won the first in extra innings, 9-6, and then built a big lead early in the second game, winning 10-5.
Our Book Fair will be here soon! This amazing event is how we earn money to buy new books for our Media Center. 📚
If you’d love to join the fun and help make our Book Fair a huge success, please consider volunteering. Sign up here:

Our classrooms & hallways are ready to welcome our Caring Hares tomorrow! We will have a 1/2 day of school (8:55-12:10).
To have a smooth transition, we are asking that parents take pictures & send their best wishes outside school. We are looking forward to a great year!
Reading jokes with a buddy is a fun way to share the love of reading, especially when the character trait this week is humor! @LongMeadowRCS@PosProject
My Grateful Four:
1) Zoom!! 💻
2) Sunshine and warmer temps! 🌞
3) Bikes and beautiful trails in Rochester! 🚴♀️
4) A school community with strong leaders and supportive families! 🏡📚

5th grade students are using choice and voice to share how to be a safe digital citizen! Stay tuned for final presentations next week. The ability to choose how to share their message is empowering students to create a wide range of projects. #digitalcitizenshipweek
I'm in ♥️ w/this idea. In fact, I ♥️ it SO much that I'll pick one person (teacher, librarian, principal, coach, etc) from everyone who RTs this post, and I'll buy that person their own stamp. Same as the one pictured, but w/your name. Go! #booklove#bookaday#readthisnow
Our Media Center wish list is full of books and materials to help us have an exciting and energizing year! #clearthelists
Thank you for considering sending a little love our way! 💕
