Another milestone for pediatric care in Arkansas! 🌟

Dr. Tomoko Tanaka, a pediatric neurosurgeon at Arkansas Children's Hospital and associate professor in the department of neurosurgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (@UAMS), joined forces with Dr. Hector Soriano, a neurosurgeon and director of adult neurosurgery spine at UAMS, to utilize CarboClear® Carbon Fiber Spinal Implants for the first time in the state for a pediatric patient, treating a spine malignant tumor.

After tumor removal, these advanced carbon fiber implants were used to fuse the spine, offering a strong and durable solution that allows the spine to move repeatedly without breaking down easily. Carbon fiber spinal implants offer surgeons and oncologists clear MRI images that enhance follow-up care and improve early detection of recurrent tumors.
