Watch this poor little hedgehog’s reaction to the #firework explosions going on around it as it goes about the business of eating to survive.
Each reaction of this little being is heartbreaking to see, and remember, in the vicinity of EVERY firework display there is wildlife. #fireworklawchange

The gentleness of a fox.😍 This interaction between mum Eliza and her daughter Summer really touched me. Eliza greets her daughter by giving her a gentle nose bump and nibble which is the equivalent of a kiss in foxyland. Isn’t this beautiful?!
Summer being the typical teenager is initially rebuffing her mum’s affectionate gestures. Eliza keeps on trying in a gentle and patient manner. Eventually Summer succumbs and asks her mum to groom her. Eliza is more than happy to oblige. 🧡
Grooming strengthens the social bonds between #fox family members as well as helping to clear off parasites.🦊
@LFC Given up trying to get tickets, used to get tickets when the fan card was first introduced as PTS (Priority Ticket Scheme) now no hope, it used to be a fare scheme but not anymore.
This isn't just any fox ... it's a fox created out of the remains of a Cornish Red rhododendron tree.
Standing 6 metres tall in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, it is made up of 600 pieces of wood, all from a tree that predated WW1 and was blown down during a recent winter storm.
"Imagine flattening an irreplaceable grade I listed building like the Royal Albert Hall, replacing it with karaoke machines in various towns and then telling the public this is a ‘win-win’ for architecture and music" https://t.co/hpbRyOCY4M
A major influx of Hoopoe to Britain and Ireland is underway, with bumper numbers of the colourful bird recorded during recent days: https://t.co/P00jo3xzzi
British pollinators are now starting to fly. Great fun to watch, and to try and identify. Many resources are out there, but here's one I've produced that is free and online https://t.co/81PDNl2PP8. Great coverage of bees, hoverflies etc. Images & species accounts.
@WWTSlimbridge@slimbridge_wild Thank you Dave for all the wonderful swan night feeds and for the morning tour to see the cranes, been been visiting Slimbridge for 48 years such a wonderful place
Yet again the angling community steps in as 1st line of defence for our polluted rivers.
Today’s story is how the R Severn has become the next big cluster zone for factory farmed chicken - with the horrific impact on wildlife being all too plain to see ⬇️ https://t.co/jMDNAaYhm8
6 months ago, it was just an egg in a nest on a lakeside in Iceland. At 3 months, its parents navigated it over the ice cap & straight out to sea where it completed the 1000-mile migration. Sadly, it won't be doing the return. It's met its end by colliding with a UK powerline 1/3
Did you know...?

UK may approve bee-killing pesticide despite election promise to ban it. Prof @DaveGoulson, a bee expert at the University of Sussex, has warned that one teaspoon of the neonicotinoid is enough to kill 1.25 billion honeybees. https://t.co/j3Ql9Xp3PG
Ivy flowers are a really importance source of food for an amazing array of insects during early autumn and ivy berries are food for many creatures too. Please think twice before cutting ivy back, as you will be depriving many creatures of food and cover for nesting.
