@RoryTyer Thanks for this thoughtful post and for referencing me. Many folks start “loose” cause they want people to like them…or to not be seen as The Bad Guy or The Micromanager, w/o realizing people will love and trust them so much more with a consistent & structured work culture.
@RoryTyer Ideally, you want the supervisor to perform these, and not pay someone to oversee them as a middle man, but I know it hits a point where HR takes over. My last place, we simply couldn't maintain the quality/quantity with quarterly evals...but wanted to though :)
@RoryTyer Do you have a sliding scale/matrix for how many employees a supervisor can realistically handle time wise for performing quarterly reviews with everyone before it becomes too cumbersome from a labor productivity/scheduling standpoint?

I understand the proper time and context for difficult discussions.
I do not engage in conversations about my coworkers unless they are present.
If I have an issue with a coworker, I bring it directly to them first.
