Byung-Chul Han's book "Non-Things" is a lament over the disappearance of things; modern life is abandoning the physical world for the digital infosphere. His chapter on digital photography has given me a lot to chew on. Some of my reflections here:

@NikonUSA My first Nikon was the D70. I learned a ton on that camera before upgrading to the D7000. That was the first camera where I felt like I could produce what I envisioned in my mind. Opened the world of photography for me! Now use Z7 - great camera! (1) D70, 2007 (2) D7000, 2014

@hakasushi Thanks for sharing! Big ? for me is res & quality. X5 was a much bigger update than I anticipated. I'd rather stick with DJI since I'm already in the ecosystem, but the X5 is legit. Still haven't bit the bullet on a 360 cam yet. Really thought DJI would've released by now.

Blossoms are very spotty though this year. Not much consistency. Both of these images are from Mizumoto Park yesterday. Some full bloom, others more like 50%. 🤷🏻♂️
So much rain for this year’s season. Definitely a bummer w/ festivals finally back. But if blossoms can hold on for the next two days should be some nice weather ahead. Not sure how much most of Tokyo’s will manage, but a bit outside the city there should be some good spots.
NHK just said govt plans to drop requirement of having a tour guide, but will still require tourists to file a schedule and travel plan with a travel agent responsible for tracking/handling if found to have COVID
