It's the 1st August, which means the @RevenueCat #Shipaton has begun!! I've been working in the background on an app for the past 2 months (with no prior experience). Right now I'm finishing up the MVP version, and will be sharing to the app store v soon !! #buildinpublic

If there's one thing that's been tested during this #shipaton experience, it's my patience 😂 My app might be in testing right now, but I think I'm the one being tested hahah with endless back and forth with Claude to get things right + bugs I didn't even know were possible 😅

@Shironbuilds Hahaha literally, I had no clue, was happily using it one day until I checked my usage and was shook, so mostly use Canva and then if I need a bit more help for best practices with design I give it to Claude 😄

@uiwithruhan Not posted too much yet, the idea is to use my personal account on TT rather than creating a new account for the app, and will just post a mixture of different styles of content! What socials are you looking at using to promote your app?

- Upload app to TestFlight and start testing myself (+ try to get friends to test too) ⭐️

@Shironbuilds Right now I’m just using trusty Claude Code (and occasionally asking ChatGPT to help me with prompts when I can’t get Claude to understand what I want lol) + Claude design + Canva for mockups!

A short intro: I've worked in marketing for the last 7 years. I love content creation and trying to make things look aesthetic. I'm a type B person (forever wishing I was type A). And before this challenge, my coding experience basically peaked at building a Notion database lol

lil update: my app is ready (!!) and now I need testers. So I put myself out there and asked my friends + followers for help, and it reminded me of my favourite saying: "if you don't ask, you don't get." Feeling very grateful for everyone who's willing to test it 💛 #shipaton

First app = first time figuring out pricing🤔

I’ve started to look into it, and I'm currently thinking monthly + yearly plans with a 2-week trial, but I’d love to hear from people who’ve been through this.

What pricing strategies worked (or didn’t) for you? Any lessons learned?

Been working on the onboarding flow for my goal-planning app today!

Designing it on Canva (bc I don't know how to use Figma 😅)

My biggest goal is to make the experience feel interactive from the start, so users get an early win the moment they begin their journey. #shipaton

@uiwithruhan Thanks! I screenshot everything, and get clear on how exactly I want the page to work and then plug that all into Claude code. Then it’s basically quite a bit of back and forth until the build matches the idea I had in my head 😄
