These are 7 major Cancer breakthroughs of 2025 so far 🚨

1) For people with mouth, throat, or neck cancer, a helper medicine called pembrolizumab (Keytruda) can now be given before AND after surgery

2) Lung cancer got a new fighter medicine called zongertinib for a special type with a HER2 mistake. It attacks only the bad parts

3) For a rare ovary cancer in girl's bellies, two medicines together (avutometinib + defactinib) got approved.

4) Esophagus cancer (the food tube) got a new first choice helper called tislelizumab to fight it right from the start

5) Breast cancer helpers got better toooo
New pills like imlunestrant help when the cancer has a special change, and a strong medicine called Enhertu works even better as the first treatment for some kinds

6) Scientists made mRNA vaccines (just like the COVID ones but for cancer) that teach your body's police (I.e your immune system) to spot and smash cancer better. They're getting closer to working on lots of cancers

7) For some hard cancers like rectal or stomach ones with a special mismatch mistake, immune helpers made the monsters completely disappear in many people. No surgery needed sometimes.
