the name Robinhood didn’t start in a boardroom

Vlad once explained that before Robinhood had its final name, the working title was actually CashCat

then his wife started describing what they were building as “the Robinhood of finance” because they were building something for the little guy

the name stuck

that’s the part of Robinhood history that became the foundation for ROB IN HOOD

an idea that started with bringing the little guy into finance is now being carried into a different hood through art, story, and an onchain character built around the same spirit
