It’s so weird to see everyone just going about their day like everything is fine and I’m wondering how can that be. My world is forever changed. Even trying to be okay for a little bit comes up later with tears and feeling a physical pain in my heart. I miss my daughter. So much.
Now grief means something different. Now it means something I will never get over. Now it means I, and no one in my life, will ever be the same again. Now it means, even if something is good, it won’t really be good because you aren’t here.
Grief is unloading the dishwasher and crying because I see a storage container that my mom sent. She saw it on QVC and thought I could use it. I feel the hair on the back of my head being slightly pulled. Quickly turn and no one is there. But maybe she was there. I miss her.
Grief is weird. I took a video of my mom years ago washing every lettuce leaf with meticulous care. Two days ago I washed a lettuce leaf and looked it over and remembered that video. I smiled. Then cried. Told my husband and cried again. I miss her so much.
