@secnumbersguy I think what we are actually seeing is that all those SEC top 25 teams shouldn’t actually be top 25 teams as they have been highly inflated by pollsters for quite a while now. 8-9 top 25 games doesn’t mean much of those matchups are against teams that don’t actually belong there.
@Bueller79@SEC_Exposed The SEC didn’t win a single CFP game outside of their conference. They’ve been gifted selection spots for a decade, and now that teams from other conferences are finally getting a shot, the SEC is getting exposed as average. Not superior.
@Rizabellepow@Shelleybe3 Which side wants to hurt people? Someone responded to you in a kind and thoughtful manner, and your reaction was to degrade them? Seems like self evaluation may be a worthwhile exercise.
@LuthorCorp1 I do believe SMU was stronger than Miami, Ole Miss, and Bama. South Carolina passes the eye test and would probably beat SMU on a neutral field, but a team can’t be penalized for losing in a championship game by a team that didn’t make one.
@ZuckBurner@CoreyWray2@LuthorCorp1@dannykanell The SEC wasn’t down this year. They just couldn’t get away with loading their schedule with cupcakes because their conference expanded. This used to happen to Pac12 teams every year. They’d beat each other up in conference while the top of the SEC scheduled D2 schools and Vandy.
@gmc_atl@chiamilano@CoreyWray2@LuthorCorp1@dannykanell Bad take. If NIU can beat Notre Dame during the regular season, there will be years when a team like Indiana will beat a team like Notre Dame in the playoff, and if a team goes 11-1 or makes their conference title game, they have earned the right to take their shot.
@LuthorCorp1@dannykanell Team B scheduled Western Kentucky, South Florida, Wisconsin, and…wait for it…Mercer outside of their own conference. Get a better argument.
@RobertHefnerV@geoffschwartz None of the evidence you provided is objective. Those are all based on opinion polling, and if this year was any indication, the SEC has benefited from the East Coast media bias for quite a while.
@ArthurG31943188 C’mon dude. This is bogus and you know it. Why do you continue to sew the seeds of hate? Conservatism is a huge tent, and you are welcome to no matter your background, rate, gender, etc. We just want to see the country prosper again.
