I have more money than ever but less things than ever.

In 2023 and 2024, I bought everything I thought I wanted.

$20K watch. Then a $50K watch. Then a $200,000 supercar. Five star hotels every month. Designer bags and jewelry for my wife.

And I had this obsessive personality towards all of it. I would lay in bed from 10pm to midnight just scrolling videos of these things. Every ounce of effort I had went towards working for the next purchase.

Then I'd get it, feel good for a bit, and start looking for the next thing.

I really felt like I was on the hedonic treadmill.

After a couple months of owning my dream watch, it sat in my closet for months. Same with the bags I bought my wife. Everything just collected dust.

And I looked at all of it and realized something.

These things don't feel as good as
• Going on a big trip with my wife.
• Buying my parents and in-laws cars.
• Paying for my grandparents' surgery.
• Watching two of my team members buy their dream cars.
• Watching team members quit their 12-hour shifts and travel the world.
• Paying for dinner every time for everyone and not thinking about it.

Impacting someone else's life hits different than impacting your closet.

I'm not saying I'll never buy nice things again. But my entire personality for two years was just wanting something new every single day.

Now I just want tailored clothes, exceptional food, and to travel the world with my wife.

I want to do it all with the right people in my life, and enough money where I don't have to think about small purchases.

That's it.

The money on the screen doesn't change anything about my day-to-day anymore.
