life update:
after ~5 years working on solana, i’m grateful to pass the torch and embrace an empty calendar.
from using the sollet wallet to seeing internet capital markets come to life - it’s been a wild ride. i’m always amazed by the momentum our work generates thanks to a community that shows up to build with us, day after day.
this is why i’ve believed that solana doesn’t need a traditional cmo - it already has hundreds. the ecosystem is our best marketing. our job is rather simple: help you crush distribution. together, we've shipped great work (some bad stuff too - sorry!), broken a few rules in the marketing textbook and the result is a brand that many would kill for - built by all of us. this is what makes solana special - everyone has write access to the network, brand, and culture.
i remain excited about solana’s future, especially in a post-AI world where capital is the ultimate leverage. everyone will have to become an investor. the ability to buy any asset, from anywhere, on a phone is inevitable. solana is uniquely positioned to power this transition.
super grateful to my all-star team (vibhu, ellie, niran, megan, amy, james, erica, simon, steff); friends in the ecosystem, labs, anza, foundation, superteam (esp. OGs - tanmay, dev, kash, neil and tamar); to raj and lily for trusting me with this responsibility, and to dan, yelena, and amanda for being incredible exec partners.
@vibhu will step in to lead the team, and i couldn’t be more pumped. he’s an exceptional founder and a genius marketer - really glad I was able to scam him into joining us instead of starting another company.
i once read that it’s a privilege to be tired of the work you once dreamed of having. i feel that deeply today. i leave with a full heart and lifelong friendships across more than 100 countries.
this has been an all-consuming season of my life. thank you all!

How to network at Breakpoint (without feeling gross) by @kashdhanda
1/ Elevator pitch is dead
2/ Come with a plan
3/ Don’t go party hopping
4/ Reach out to people in advance
5/ Don’t schedule calls during the conference
See you all in 2 days
@pradologue is a chad. One of the warmest lads you’ll meet and is dedicated to his craft. His inspiration is infectious. The work is goated. We’re fans!
from a small-town Indian kid who couldn’t speak english at 17 → to running @goatfishxyz, the most in-demand media agency in crypto, covering events in 10+ countries with a team from 8 nations… in just 2 years.
@pradologue is an inspiration.
the wildest origin story you’ll hear today:
> grew up in a tiny town in India, didn’t learn english until 18, then moved to the city and hustled random startup internships
> volunteered at a massive international youth conference → met people from 100+ countries in 10 days → mind blown, decided “I have to become a global citizen”
> spent 1.5 years backpacking India, filling notebooks with stories & lessons
> pandemic hits → starts dumping everything on Twitter → account explodes
> crypto frens tell him to write about crypto → starts dropping threads & deep dives → gets noticed by Superteam India
> live-tweeting a 15-day Cross-Chain Clubhouse event → crushes it
> then covers Hacker House, hustles his way into Superteam UAE (“I’ll sleep in $10 dorms, just get me a flight”) → meets people from Russia, South Africa, Australia on a single bus ride
> two months later joins Founders Villa in Dubai → decides this nomadic event-coverage life is THE life
> starts goatfish, hires shooters/editors better than him, teaches them his style
> In just 2 years they’ve covered events in Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, Dubai, Georgia…
> clients now include: Solana Foundation, Jupiter, Meteora, deBridge, Balaji’s Network State Conference, multiple Superteams, Forma, and more
> handled 40 events in 7 days during Token2049 + Breakpoint with a 10-person team
> built a 15-person team pulled from 8+ countries by cold-DMing hundreds of creators, doing photo walks, and asking “who’s the best guy here?”
> pays his (mostly Indian) team so well that other founders tell him “bro you’re ruining the market, stop paying that much”
> already close to buying his mom a house after thinking it would take 5 years — did it in ~18 months
> future? Keep hunting raw untapped talent (Nigeria, non-English speakers, women creators, etc.), pay for their English courses, fly them around the world, break every local salary rule, and just “seek pain + maximize fun”
moral of the story: one obsessed kid with a phone, zero connections, and a willingness to sleep in $10 dorms can build the hottest media team in crypto in 24 months flat.
goatfish isn’t slowing down.
@blingoh@SuperteamAE Marketing for crypto life cycle operators and builders with focus on retention strategies by drawing parallels to monopoly was based. You dropped bare gems. 👏🏽
