The ‘Cattle Class’ bleeds in silence.

No war room. No breaking news. No outrage. Just apathy.
This week alone, 80 trains were cancelled. 130 delayed. Lives disrupted. Students stranded. Workers punished. But who cares?

Because Arnab doesn’t board a train, it isn’t a national crisis. Because we don’t feel their pain, we don’t raise our voice.

We reserve our bullying and anger only for airports, where the elite are stuck. No one storms a railway office. No cameras chase railway officials.

The poor and middle-class are meant to endure their fate quietly. The richer we get, the more selective and self-serving our outrage becomes.
The ‘Cattle Class’ suffers, but invisible!

A few cancellations:
1. Train No. 12128: Pune–CSMT Intercity Express (Dec 6) – Cancelled due to sudden power block, a busy Mumbai commuter route.
2. Train No. 22106: Indrayani Express (Dec 6) – Same block impacts daily Pune-Mumbai workers.
3. Train No. 12127: CSMT–Pune Intercity Express (Dec 7) – Extension of the block; high-volume suburban service.
4. Train No. 22105: CSMT–Pune Indrayani Express (Dec 7). affects early-morning commuters.
5. Train No. 13503: Barddhaman–Hatia MEMU Express. short-haul but frequent.
6. Train No. 13504: Hatia–Barddhaman MEMU Express.
7. Partial unscheduled short-terminations occurred on ~20 trains due to fog (e.g., diversions).

About 130 trains were delayed too. Here is a short top 10 list:

1. Train No. 12309: Rajendra Nagar T–New Delhi Rajdhani Express – 20+ hours (Dec 6; Bihar-Delhi).
2. Train No. 14673: Shaheed Express – 18 hours (Dec 5; Amritsar-Jalandhar).
3. Train No. 12357: Durgiana Express – 16 hours (Dec 7; Howrah-Amritsar).
4. Train No. 14615: Amritsar Express – 15 hours (Dec 4; Lalkuan-Amritsar).
5. Train No. 12237: Jammu Mail – 14 hours (Dec 6; Jammu Tawi-Delhi).
6. Train No. 14003: Malda Town–New Delhi Express – 13 hours (Dec 7; Eastern-Delhi).
7. Train No. 18103: Jallianwala Bagh Express – 12 hours (Dec 5; Tatanagar-Amritsar).
8. Train No. 15622: Kamakhya–New Delhi Express – 11 hours (Dec 6; Northeast-Delhi).
9. Train No. 14606: Yog Nagari Express – 10 hours (Dec 7; Rishikesh-Jammu).
10. Train No. 12312: Kalka Mail – 9 hours (Dec 4; Kalka-Howrah via Delhi).

Proud of my decision to uninstall all food delivery apps since the start of this year.

Just remember this. Food ordering apps generated a combined revenue of 35000 cr last year. That’s the industry we created by not cooking our own food at home and outsourcing our health to a cloud kitchen. The next generation will have to really work hard to stay healthy.
