Carney: "I'm going to take this opportunity to thank President Scheinbaum and the Mexican people for sending 200 firefighters to help us with our fires here. That's what friends do when you have crisis and fires."
@actsmaniac They already have an agreement where Canadians can enter Visa free into the US, and are the only country with a population above 1 Million with it. There’s no reason to make a whole zone just for two countries.
@heavnsweets Yeah, they just called their wife a slur what did you expect? You specifically searched for a phrase used by men who don’t respect their wife, then got surprised when they clearly don’t respect their wife??? If you just search “wife”, most of it’s normal.
@M1L4GR03 I don’t think that’s a good analogy. If I killed for my child, I’d still expect the consequences of killing, and most parents probably wouldn’t unless in defence. I’m not going to expect the law just lets me free because I did it for them, and it’s still possible to cross legally
@Panko_nqueso@Tomi88885@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam While, there were no Argentinian people more than 2 generations old on the islands in 1833. There is no humanitarian issue on the them, or that the capture of the islands caused, so what’s the justification for taking the islands back and in result actually causing displacement.
@Panko_nqueso@Tomi88885@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam Well the post was saying it is, that’s my bad if you weren’t. The inhabitants argument isn’t biased, as I’m comparing the present population to Argentina’s former population on the island, if Argentina were to take the islands, that would cause many to be displaced.
@Panko_nqueso@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam I’m not, you’re the one who acted as if this were important, and brought it up. You said “I know nothing about Argentina” because I said most were European, that means 85% of Argentinians also “know nothing”with your logic. & Criollos are European that doesn’t invalidate my claim
@Panko_nqueso@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam It invalidates it because you said most Argentinians are Mestizo (mixed European and Indigenous) I said they are dominantly European. The chart shows Argentinians dominantly identify as European, not Mestizo like you claimed.
@Panko_nqueso@Tomi88885@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam Yeah, that’s called bias, if anything that works against you. If you’re Argentinian, obviously you would support Argentina’s claim, that makes your position less credible, not more. That doesn’t make it harder to see why it’s not at all comparable to Palestine.
@Tomi88885@Panko_nqueso@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam This doesn’t contradict any of my points? Yes, the British invaded the Falklands in 1833, that was never an argument to begin with. Now I can’t read Spanish, so I’m not exactly sure what the 2nd image says but I’ll assume it’s of similar nature.
@Tomi88885@Panko_nqueso@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam Setting aside the fact the map is obviously incorrect with many countries such as Chile, Brazil, etc. were never invaded, you provide no reasoning as to why Argentina deserves the islands, and couldn’t explain how any of my points were wrong.
@Panko_nqueso@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam There were a maximum of 50 Argentine civilians living there, and Spain + Argentina’s time there was less than a third of Britain’s. What makes that your land exactly if almost everyone there voted to stay with Britain, and Argentina had barely anyone living on the island in 1833?
@Panko_nqueso@media_lun4@matiasybarr731@alatskam You admit it’s just cause you want land right? You didn’t counter any of the points in my post, and you gave up on trying to say it’s because people were usurped out of the land. Also, you didn’t counter how it’s your land.
