A 17-year-old girl, Snothile Mpunguse from Waterloo, KZN, has reportedly been kidnapped. She disappeared on Saturday while walking to a local Spar to buy food. Her family received a R10 000 ransom demand from unknown suspects and reported the incident to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) about eight hours after she went missing. Mpunguse, a Grade 11 learner, was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and camouflage pants with orange spots. A case has been opened at SAPS Verulam

WANTED: MURDER SUSPECT FROM SOWETO

Police are searching for Tshepang Ntoampe (27), who is wanted in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, Lesego Mutlwane (25).

It is alleged that Ntoampe fatally stabbed Mutlwane once in the chest during a dispute at his residence in Naledi, Soweto. Emergency services pronounced her dead at the scene.

The couple shared a three-year-old child. Authorities are appealing to anyone with information regarding Ntoampe’s whereabouts to contact the police anonymously on 08600 10111.
