Grief can be seasonal. It shows up louder at certain times, even years later.
Sometimes it’s not just about who you lost, but who you wish you were by now. The milestones you thought you’d have reached. The pride you wish they could see.
It hurts wanting to make someone proud when they’re no longer here to witness the trying.
Still, showing up, surviving, and becoming is not failure. It’s part of the story grief never tells out loud.
