1/ Toronto is in decline — and it’s visible everywhere you look.
Potholes that never get fixed. Overflowing garbage cans on every corner. A TTC that doubles as a homeless shelter. Endless congestion. Rising costs for worse service.
It’s time for change at City Hall. 🧵
King Charles III: "You recently commented, Mr. President, that if it were not for the United States, European countries would be speaking German. Dare I say that if it wasn't for us, you'd be speaking French."
Ontario hospitals announce job cuts, nearly three-quarters of hospitals in deficit - Our provinces receive billions in health $ transfers from the Feds to cover healthcare costs. Is it all spent on health? @CTVNews https://t.co/4ElwKppfJB
Ricky Gervais on 60 Minutes Makes a Crystal-Clear Case for Free Speech
He put it perfectly: the great thing about freedom of speech is that I can say what I want, and you can say you're offended, and I get to decide whether I care or not.
Because let's be honest, there's nothing you can say that someone, somewhere won't find offensive.
That's why blasphemy laws are so absurd, they're basically trying to protect an all-powerful deity from having its feelings hurt.
At the end of the day, we should be free to criticise any idea.
Just because you're offended doesn't automatically mean you're right.
Spot on, Ricky. Free speech isn't about never upsetting anyone, it's about the right to speak anyway.
INSANE: Within 24 hours, Ottawa found over $120 million for Sudan while Canadian troops overseas were hit with reported allowance cuts of $1,000 to $1,500 a month.
That’s Canada in one sentence: cash for foreigners, betrayal for the people who actually serve this country.
@DevineSean I just had a garbage truck drive down our street and pick up NOTHING! No garbage, no recyclables, no yard waste. It drove out of the neighbourhood. Our garage used to be picked up by 9 in the morning. Is this the new improved service?

Four days later not a word from Prime Minister @MarkJCarney. That's not leadership, that's cowardice.
Here is the @MPMichaelMa exchange. Hope we can make this Liberal famous.
It seems that Michael Ma designed his rapid fire questions at me so they could be used by Chinese state media showing that he went up against a critic of the regime. That’s what Chinese state media is reporting. It failed spectacularly here, but state media won’t report that.
Having grown up in a family of Air Canada pilots (father, brothers, nephew, niece training now), the horrific crash at LaGuardia airport strikes very close to home. My deepest, heartfelt condolences to the grieving families of the pilots, and to all those injured. May time and loving support help to heal, and to honour those whom we lost.
May we also learn from this tragedy, to make air travel safer for all.
In 40 minutes, Donald said: the Strait of Hormuz isn't closed, but he wants it reopened; we’re not at war with Iran, but our allies are cowards for not helping; he wants a ceasefire, but he doesn’t want one. He also declared victory three times.
Such clarity. Such leadership.
Had to go to an Ottawa clinic today. The people were all exceptionally nice. To the point it’s worth mentioning.
But the place,
In all your travels, you will never see a clinic like this out side of Canada,
Spit & dirt on the walls, out of order wash room, carpet reeks
Imagine 🍁
We celebrate the retirement of athletes in such a special way.
But we don’t do that for people who work regular jobs very often.
I overheard the flight attendant on my flight tonight say this was her last flight. 38 years working for @AirCanada.
No fan fare. No recognition for her last flight. Just another day.
So congrats to her!! I didn’t catch her name but it was flight 8839 from Raleigh to Toronto. I hope she gets a proper send off from her peers. Thank you for your service.
I just had a video show up in my Facebook feed of a child rescued in a zoo by a polar bear. At the end it said "this post was AI generated for your entertainment."
Fuck no. I am not entertained by unsolicited, unwelcome AI slop.
Congratulations to Sault Ste. Marie’s very own Brad Jacobs and Team Canada on winning gold in men’s curling. Your hard work and determination have made your province and your country incredibly proud.
Relive Ivanie Blondin’s performance in the women’s mass start final in long track speed skating, where she captured her second medal at Milano Cortina 2026! ⛸️🥈
