Going to jump in and say what worked for myself breaking into games: Went to Guildhall in 2013, and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I loved the school and I loved my Cohort(class) 17.🧵

After a year or so, I had the respect of most of my peers and knew what I wanted to do. This ties into ash’s thread of doing work that is aimed at future employers and something that you enjoy. I wanted to focus on layout and traditional-level design,

Finally, I would assume a lot of you are working harder than you ever have to break in. It’s normal to vent about silly blockers, In-ept screening process, fill out this resume form even though you already submitted it, someone in an interview that enjoys having power over you
